Secfone basic — Quick Start¶
Secure communication in a few minutes. This short guide takes you from first launch to your first encrypted message, call and secure document delivery. For details see the User Manual.
1. What you need¶
- A smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- An invitation from your administrator — as a QR code or an invite
code (format
SEC-INV-XXXX-XXXX). Without one you can explore the app via "Skip demo".
2. Install the app¶
- Android: open the install link from your administrator and install the app (or later from the store).
- iPhone: accept the TestFlight invitation and get Secfone basic (or later from the App Store).
3. Enroll¶
- Choose your language → Continue.
- Accept the invitation: scan the QR, enter the code, or paste from the clipboard. (To explore: Skip demo.)
- The device check runs automatically (hardware key/attestation).
- Set a display name (alias) — your Secfone number in the format
tenant-participant(e.g.402-1884) is assigned. Done.
Your number is not a mobile number — no SIM swap, no call forwarding. The name ↔ number mapping stays on the device.
4. Your first message¶
- Chats tab → pick a contact (from your group's contact plan).
- Type and send — end-to-end encrypted.
- Optionally enable self-destruct per message (timer): it then vanishes without a trace on both devices.
- Attachments: paperclip → camera, data room, or file.
5. Your first call¶
- Calls tab (or from a chat) → call a contact.
- It rings, the other side answers — encrypted call.
- A second call during a call → busy/second line.
6. Deliver a document securely (even offline)¶
Settings → Delivery: 1. Send to number → Secfone number + title → Send. The document is sealed for the recipient and waits in the secure area until they fetch it. The delivery matrix shows "X/Y delivered". 2. Check inbox → waiting documents are shown decrypted.
The server sees neither names, sender, nor content — only sealed data that is deleted after delivery.
7. Multiple tenants (profiles)¶
Belong to several organizations? Settings → 👤 (Profile): - Each tenant is a separate profile with its own number and its own crypto identity (🔑 fingerprint shown) — strictly separated. - Switch at the top or add account. You are reachable in all tenants at once.
8. Turn on security right away¶
Settings → Security: - App lock (Face ID/PIN) and duress PIN. - Screenshot protection and push without content. - Post-quantum encryption (PQC) is active.
9. New phone¶
Settings → Migrate device walks you through the encrypted move (QR + confirmation). Without the old device: admin approval is required.
Help: full instructions in the User Manual; organizational questions go to your tenant administrator.
